Tour de France 2013 Stage 2

Tony Martin
Is a hard guy
And now we
Know the reason why
Here I quote from his own lips:
"I'm German; I'll start"
That's how it is!
Badly battered in stage one
He returns for more fun
Bandaged like Egyptian mummy
He thinks his injuries are funny
Pierre Roland takes flight
On the descent into Ajaccio
At this early stage
He's so relax-io
OPQS  is way in arrears
The steep climb costing
pain and tears
Peter Sagan is still
In play
Canondale hopes it's his day
Sky is keeping their man cosseted
In the front he is deposited
The final climb is short but steep
Froome and Cadel keep it sweet
But in the end it's Bakelants, Jan
Radio-Shacks's winning man
Tony Martin made it through
I really am amazed by you
Teutonic mench of such
endurance
OPQS best insurance

Tour de France 2013 Stage 1

Stage 1

Eye of Khaos by Bijou X (pka DevaLuna)

Lobato, Juan Jose
Wins KOM today
Boom beats out
Fletch on sprint intermediate
What you want isn't always
What you get
Cav earns one more point
than Pete
It IS Sagan he needs to beat
The GC wants to remain safe
The sprinters want to win this race
At the finish
A bus is stuck
The driver wailing
What the f**k????
The finish has shifted
A cock up unique
A terrible crash
The end of the day
for Cav and Pete
Griepel is also left
on the street
Everyone thinking
On their feet
Argos Shimano's
Marcel Kittel
Drags victory from chaos
What a story he'll tell
All others will say it thus:
I could have won
I was foiled by a BUS!
Tony Martin is out for the
count
Casualties begin to mount
Race edition one zero zero
The finish line banner
an anti-hero

Le Grand Dėpart

Le Grand Dėpart

100 years of Tours de France
We can hardly keep it in our pants
Through war and shady circumstance
Le Tour expands it's audience
A spectacle of huff and puff
We love it 'cause it is so tough
You have to be quite mad to try it
When all uncertainties run riot
Form and fortune
Even the weather
Can undo one altogether
Let alone a team nine strong
How can they all get along?
Strategy and over-training
little rest and too much raining
rough terrain and mountains steep
Lots of thoughts to ruin sleep
I'd call it delirium world wide
From Le Tour you cannot hide
Famous for it's elite pain
Destroying guys who try again
Wanting to beat their own game
and bring their team success and fame
and sometimes only bringing shame
Many to cheer and some to blame
A tolerance for ambiguity
Permeates pro-cyc' community
These men have brawn, and brains, and heart
Let's praise the hundredth 'Le Tour' start
And Thanks to hostess France--La Belle
Let's hope this race goes VERY well.
