Tsunami Poem
A natural curiosity/
About a tsunami/
A giant swell/
Could very well/
Be the end of me
To be swept out to sea/
While strolling in Mill Valley/
That would be/
Extremely trippy.
At 23 Janes Street/
In the foothills of Mt. Tam/
I'm likely to stay high and dry/
So that is where I am
Safety first/
It could be worse/
Let the Raiders know/
A change of route/
Would be astute/
A safer way to go
By noon this should be history/
The waves' effect no mystery/
I'll be trodding on the path/
Observing the aftermath
Call me a whus, a whimp, or scaredy cat/
But below sea level is not where it's at/
I'm sure you and yours will be safe and sound/
But for the moment I'm taking high ground
In a moment of truth/
It must be said/
What a great excuse/
To stay in bed :) i
